Those big beautiful brown eyes. How Could "Eye" Not?

Those big beautiful brown eyes looking up at her.
How could she not?
Of course she was tired?
But SHE was worth it.
Push past the flesh. Push past the selfishness that wants to overtake.
She had served her all day.
Pushing herself to the limits of her capacity.
But that was great.
Because when she came to the end of her self, Christ took over it. And it was glorious.
She was so dear to her heart.

All her life she took care of her.
Even now after surgery, she tried to serve her. She DID serve her.
But she just had this one request,
late night after she wanted to collapse and go to bed,
"could you bathe my back please, I can't reach it."
She was tired, she sighed inwardly, and asked Abba to give her a servant's heart.

Because the True Gospel of Christ is serving others, above yourself.

Serving His beautiful little ones.

At first when she entered the bathroom, she was solemn, so tired.
But when those big, beautiful, gracious, precious, amazing eyes filled with the Joy of The Lord looked up at her with such grace and gratefulness.
Looking down at her beautiful mother in the tub, she couldn't stop a smile from teaming.
She was smiling from ear to ear.
Wow.

SHE IS WORTH IT!
THIS IS WORTH IT!

Jesus the King of Kings washed his disciples feet.
And I, (she) had the privilege of washing my mother's back.

Truly an honor. This is The Gospel. This is Life forever more.

How could I not?
How could I not?
