City on a hill...

Girl on girl hook up
she knew that this was wrong
fornication was an abomination to God
and God created male for female
but this was tasting good..
I mean Katy Perry did warn of cherry chapstick..
what she was doing was perverse,
on so many levels...

She was the worship leader at Longhorns for Jesus
a position she really wanted and worked hard for
she actually sought The Lord for
fasted prayed
but she was slipping fast

All the football players had their iPhones out
snapchap story worthy

Wow, they are NFL bound, and I'm getting their attention?

she went harder, faster,
her top came off,
she still had a bra on
so it was kind of like her being at the beach,
no big deal right?
but she convinced herself anyways.

One more shot,
and everything faded to black,

she liked it better that dulled out the conviction...
She worshiped that following Wednesday,
she didn't have to worry about anyone knowing what she did,
cuz they wouldn't have been their anyway...
she felt so far away from God
her worship was stale
but she couldn't get away from that glory she felt when all eyes where on her
in the wrong ways...

"Hey, Ashley! Wait up!"

She whipped around as she was walking back to the library from class.

It was a football player. Hmm, she was excited. Maybe he wanted a private show.

"I heard you at worship Wednesday, You did a great job, but I could tell you were distracted."

Huh? He was at worship? How could she have missed Him from on stage. He was fine, and a football player! Like her dream to date one.

she played it cool...

"yeah, extra chemistry exams, you know..."

He wasn't convinced. He looked concerned.

"A couple of guys on the team have been playing this video in the locker room, I try not to look but You know, I hear..."

Oh no, her heart dropped to her stomach.

"Look, I'm not perfect, and neither are you. But if the light doesn't shine, how could people find direction. How could they see."

and with that parting voice of conviction, he squeezed her and and gave her a light, yet hopeful smile.

Sometimes, God will use a handsome football player to convict you....

"No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come by it may see the light." Luke 11:33
