One Day at a Time...

She dropped her purse in the kitchen so hard. Her day was so hard and she was truly frustrated, over it and tired of trying. Nobody understood what she was going through. Nobody understood how hard she tried to be a good student, mom and worker. It felt like all her efforts were to no avail. She felt everyone was judging her and nobody was trying to listen to her. Her friends tried to understand what she was going through, which she appreciated, but nobody truly understood the depths of her pain.

She opened her fridge to find leftover lasagna, not the best but it will do after a long day at work. She takes a glass of wine and tries to unwind in front of the television. She was married but it felt as if she was single. It was the 4th month of their separation, that she didn't want, but her husband said he needed the space to find himself. She didn't believe in divorce but she was tired of being alone. Tinder dates were sounding real tempting at the moment. But she knew she was worth more, much more. She knew that Jesus loved her but to be honest, it was hard to feel it. She was going to take one day at a time. One day at a time...

Isaiah 26:3

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
