Hold Fast

I'm here to tell you to HOLD FAST TO GOD!
I just have the picture in my head of a child holding fast to it's mother.

Or a wounded woman holding fast to the firefighter that is lifting her out of the burning building.
Hold fast to God.

There will be many things in this life that will try to get us to not cling to God.
To run from his divine protection in the safety of his arms and cling to things that can not sustain us.

Why would we ever in our right minds run from the hands of a loving Father straight into the arms of danger? It is truly madness & yet, we do it all the time.

This last half of the year, I'm tired of doing it my way.
I want to relentlessly  hold fast to my savior and cling to him with all my heart, soul and mind.

There is so much protection and peace and provision when we just let Abba carry us. When we don't try to use our legs and just let his legs carry us.

You know he will carry us right where we belong, and we will be protected from all evil because he is fighting for us.

if we jump out his arms, we don't really trust him and it is pride working in our hearts thinking we know best. It is also impatience in us trying to wreak havoc in our lives.

We have freewill, and God will not override that, so that means we can create a mess in our lives--and I don't want that.

I want God's plan A. I want to be in the perfect will of God under his umbrella of protection.
I want to live stress free because I can trust in the fact that my Daddy Abba is caring for me.

He is driving the car, and we are free to rest in the back and enjoy the ride.

But while you are riding--Don't forget to keep Abba company. Love on him, get to know him.
It will be worth your while! Trust me!

Prayer
Dear Abba,
Please let us hold on to you. Purge us from all the sins that so easily beset us. May we just wrap our arms around you and let you lead our life. Be the captain of our soul. Be our manager. Lord, help us to enjoy your company and tune out all the lies of the enemy. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 13:4

Stacie
