Not Alone (lost of child) [Creative Story]

As she stared at the grave
tears fell from her eyes,
she couldn't understand why God would take her only son
her beloved son.

She felt so alone,
her husband was giving her love,
but all she could feel was numbness.

How was she suppose to say goodbye after only 3 years?
What about prom?
What about graduation?
What about his first car and wedding day?

All of that was just a vapor that had vanished away.
A hopeless dream that was crumbling.

she knew the world was cruel--but she never knew it was this cold.

She was mad at God, she didn't feel like he could ever know what she was going through.

but then she heard-- "I gave my son to the world to die--it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But I did it for you."

Even though that didn't take away the pain, it was good to know that God did understand her pain. That The Lord could empathize with her.

She knew it would be a long journey of healing
a lot of black clothes and boxes of Kleenexes
but at least she knew that she wouldn't be alone.

God was with her.

"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4"
