God Is Changing Your Season

God is the God of time and seasons. What goes up must come down, and the last must become first.

I don't know what you are going through right now, but I know that life can be extremely hard and difficult, sometimes it's as if the storm will never end and the seas will always rage. But I want you to know that seasons do change and what is difficult for you now will get better. Winter has a purpose. Summer has a purpose. Fall has a purpose. Spring has a purpose. Nobody likes to be freezing cold in winter, or burning hot in summer, but these seasonal climate changes are absolutely pivotal for the Earth to maintain its balance.

I want you to know that you may be uncomfortable right now, but things will change and times will get better. I was watching a beautiful Netflix show today with my mom called Say, I Do. I was inspired by the beautiful love story of a farmer and his girlfriend. Their love was so pure and tangible. He went through an injury that left him in debt and bedridden for many years, and his girlfriend was right there for him, giving the care that a nurse would. He even joked at the times she had to "wipe his butt!" But that is what true love is! Caring for those when they can't care for themselves. Doing the daunting tasks that nobody else wants to do but you do it anyway out of your love. Maybe you're the husband who wakes up early to drive to a job he hates so food can be on the table for your family. Or maybe you're the friend who stays by her friend's side who is struggling with depression. All that is a sign of your loyalty and love. Love never fails.

This couple on the Netflix show have been through so much together. She loved him when He could offer her nothing, and he loved her when her self-esteem was extremely low. That is exactly what love does, it picks up others when they are down. The season of hardships had finally ended for that couple and they were able to celebrate their love with a dream wedding--and a tv show! Their story touched me deeply and I know millions of others around the world.

Your story matters! It's not the good times that truly knit us together in love, but the hard times. When you can look back and see someone's love for you when you didn't deserve it is truly a testament of the true definition of love. Love bears all things, endures all things and believes all things. Although we may fail and I truly know that I am not deserving of The Love of The Father, it's that simple fact alone that makes me truly bask in just how good He is.

You don't have to worry, your season is changing.
