You Are Enough (When your world crumbles)

she couldn't believe her ears
she had invested 4 years into this guy
gave her heart, mind and body to him
sacrificed so much for him
and here she was sitting at this fancy dinner table
expecting a proposal--
when she got a "I think we should see other people, Babe."
Babe? don't you EVER call me Babe she thought.

but the words couldn't come out of her mouth
she wasted a good outfit and a trip to the hair stylist

what were her parents going to think? her friends?
oh boy, this sucked.

she felt so embarrassed, so used up, so....stupid....

she parted ways and said her goodbyes to her 'would be husband' or so she thought
she had to leave out of there with her pride, he couldn't see her crumble

she got into her car and began to sob

suddenly she heard a voice--the voice of Her Father

"I got you my child. You are special. You might not believe it now, but this is my perfect plan for you. You are enough...trust me...you are enough."

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9
